Finally, a Choice
Dear Editor:
As a resident of Maspeth for the last 38 years, I would like to express my happiness that there is finally a choice for state assemblyman. This election, there is another name on the ballot, Tony Nunziato, a long time businessman in our community. As far back as I can remember, Tony Nunziato has been proactive in our community. He worked on Community Board 5 for many years and was President of both Maspeth Town Hall and the Maspeth Kiwanis Club. He was also the Vice President of the Maspeth Chamber of Commerce. He stands for keeping out neighborhood safe and environment clean for future generations.
When I think of the issues that have faced our community such as the Sludge Factory, the contaminated Phelps Dodge site clean up, the Cross Harbor Tunnel project and the Truck Bypass Plan, the only name that comes to mind is Tony Nunziato. Tony has been on the front lines fighting for the residents on these issues, while Marge Markey has been an afterthought, always there for the photo op but never in the heat of the battle. This is why Tony has my support this November.
Sincerely, Rita Ronzo Maspeth
